No. Shopify's native Uber Direct app requires the Shopify Plus plan, but LastFolk does not. LastFolk quotes live courier rates at checkout on Shopify Advanced or Plus, or on Grow with carrier-calculated shipping enabled, which is available with annual billing or as a paid add-on.

Grow with annual billing, at $79 per month as published on shopify.com/pricing in August 2026. Live rates at checkout depend on Shopify's Carrier Service API, which is included on Advanced and Plus, available on the Shopify plan with yearly billing, or can be added to a store for a monthly fee. The Basic plan does not include it.

Can I use LastFolk on the Shopify Basic plan?

Yes, for dispatch and tracking. Orders are dispatched automatically to courier networks and tracked end to end, with courier identity and a delivery verification code. Live rates inside the checkout are not available on Basic, because Shopify's Carrier Service API is not included on that plan.

No. It is a Shopify platform requirement that applies to every app that quotes calculated shipping rates inside the checkout. Any app offering live courier rates at checkout depends on the same Carrier Service API access.

What happens if I downgrade my Shopify plan?

Per Shopify's documentation, if a store moves to a plan that no longer meets the Carrier Service API requirements, its carrier service is deactivated and live rates stop appearing at checkout. LastFolk dispatch and tracking continue to work.

Which courier networks does LastFolk dispatch to?

Accepted Answer

LastFolk dispatches to courier networks, including Uber Direct. It is an orchestration layer rather than a single-courier bridge: merchants can also connect their own courier account on Enterprise Global, and additional networks are being added.
